Industries I Work With
Over 40 years of freelance engineering draughting work has taken me across a wide range of UK industry sectors — from manufacturing production lines and steelwork fabrication to process plant and water infrastructure. That breadth of experience means I understand the conventions, terminology, and drawing standards that each sector expects. I don't need a lengthy induction to understand what your business does or what your drawings need to contain.
Below are the main sectors I work in. Each has its own page covering the specific types of drawing work I do, the clients I've worked with, and what working with me looks like in practice.
-
Bespoke jigs, modified conveyors, handling systems, production line equipment and special-purpose machinery drawings. One-off components to full production packages.
-
Secondary steelwork, access stairs, mezzanines, platforms, connection details, bolt schedules and GA drawings for fabrication. Workshop-ready details that go straight to the shop floor.
-
Spray manifolds, atomising vessels, tube handling plant, shot blast equipment and special-purpose process machinery. Full scope from concept schemes through to final fabrication details.
-
Pump station layouts, steelwork and process element details, site arrangement drawings and O&M manual sketches. Project work for the Environment Agency and water infrastructure contractors.
Let’s Work TogetherEngineering drawing requirements don't always fit neatly into one sector. If your project spans multiple industries — process equipment for a construction project, steelwork for an infrastructure installation, or machinery for a specialist application — that's fine.
Get in touch with a description of what you need and I'll tell you straightforwardly whether it's work I can help with.
